44th Post

Hi all readers. How was the weekend? My weekend was fine. Went out for pool and cycling on Saturday and went to the Newater plant on Sunday. It's fantastic at the amount of water we use per day. Singapore uses about 300 million gallons of water per day. That's about 600 Olympic sized pools. It's easy for most of us, to just waste water, than to conserve water. But if we learn on how much water is wasted per day, perhaps we all can be more water conscious. Nowadays, with global warming , with less than 1% of the world's water that is fit for human consumption, and an ever increasing human population, the importance of water conservation, the technology and the research that is being put in cannot be overstressed. Man can survive without food for a few days, but cannot survive without water for less than a day. Ever since i visited the plant, i have become more water conservation conscious. Indeed, we are lucky that our country has a Government that take good care of it's people.

As usual, it was a rainy day to go for driving, after having a few days of extremely hot weather. Rainy weathers are meant to be wrapped up in bed or sipping a warm cup of milo while relaxing in front of the television. Not to go for driving lessons !! Rainy weather makes me lazy. Anyway, managed to clear my Stage 2. Now left Stage 3 which all my parking as well as reviews, and Stage 4 which is a trial TP test run. i hope i can remember all the stuff i learn. Oh well, then again, i'll just do my best without any pressure. Good luck to me.

Well, how time flies. Already, the 1st week of September is gone. Guess everyone is more or less preparing for next month's exams. Well, all i can say for those that are sitting for exams next month. Good luck, and don't over-study. If you think you cannot absorb any information for now, shut the book and go do something else. No point sitting there and reading the notes while nothing goes in. A perfect waste of precious time. Oh well, as the saying goes, "Time waits for no man", and that holds perfectly true. Spend your time wisely.

Well, guess i will end here for now. Very tired. No idea why. Must be my irregular hours of sleep and waking up. And with this, i leave you with this question. "What do you look for in a person?" "Is it beauty?" or "Is it character?" Good night to one and all and may you enjoy the remainder of the week.

-A person's beauty will fade with time, but a person's character stays with him until death-
