40th Post
Hi to all the readers out there. Finally it's the weekends. How was the weekday? For me, so far so good for driving. Went for my first public road drive on the 14th. It was real fun. Can drive a little bit faster than on the circuit. Well, it's time for a small review next Monday on the 20th, under a different instructor. It's funny. First 2 days of driving, it was sunny, whereas my last 2 lessons for this week was a rainy one. Oh well, good to experience a different weather. Goes to show that we are not fair weathered drivers.
Oh well, many more lessons to go, before i get my license. Hope i won't be a nervous wreck on the test day. Guess the new and unseasoned driver always has that nervous feeling that they might be doing something wrong in the eyes of the tester. Have learnt a lot from my instructor. A pity he will not be on duty on the 20th.
Gee, in another 12 days, and it's the end of August. How time flies. Guess when you are being kept busy and on your toes all the time, it seems to move a hell lot faster. Reservist is coming up the week after next. Hopefully there will be no range, and i can go to school on the 28th.
Bah, next week will be a juggle of driving lessons and night time lessons. Guess the only full day off i can have is the weekends. Oh well, just tough it out for now. Gotta think long term.
Maybe a short thought to share for tonight.
My thought for tonight is, is the government wrong in doing some of the things that we see in the newspaper nowadays ? Granted that in a country, if there is anything wrong, everybody instantly points a finger at the government, because, there are no other scapegoats to blame. What about society itself? Why doesn't anyone dare to instantly point a finger and blame society? But yet, sometimes problems occur, because both are at fault. But who wants to take full responsibility? Do people bother to see the reasons behind the problem, or would they rather just take the easy out and fling accusations at the government? In fact, do people even dare to admit that they were the cause of a problem in the first place? And of course, the government has to take actions in which to combat the problem. But what of it ? So we bother to sit down and think, "What is the reason for the actions that the government is carrying out?" A famous scientist once said, "For every action, there is a reaction" There is another quote that says "For every decision taken, there are consequences". Of course, initially we find it stupid and dumb, but at the end of the day, we still adapt and live with it.
And so, with this final paragraph, i ask you, if there is anything wrong with the country, who would you blame on the first instant ? The individual ?, The Government? or Society?
